We are now halfway through the Scottish Opera’s Pop-Up tour around the ports and harbours of the West Coast of Scotland. Last week, our crew welcomed friends of the Murray McDavid aboard for an exclusive preview of songs from Pirates of Penzance, performed by the Pop-Up Scottish Opera.
Our Guest of Honour for the evening was Jim Heron, (see here alongside Edward Odim) who previously owned the boat. It was a pleasure hosting Jim and his wife on board and to show them the transformations from a working boat to the “unrecognisable” ‘Murray McDavid’ as it sits today.
Over the past week, the ‘Murray McDavid’ has been sailing around the West Coast, stopping off at Rhu Marina, James Watt Marina, Port Bannatyne and Portavadie, where we have been welcoming guests aboard to enjoy a variety of free and ticketed performances of Bubble McBea and Pirates of Penzance. See our Gallery for pictures of the Scottish Opera Tour aboard the Murray McDavid.
